Update 1.2


I have been slowly working on this project, and in this update I managed to improve some areas, as listed below.

Perhaps the most relevant would be the addition of DLSS support for the RTX series of NVIDIA cards. I have some NIS support for other card owners, but it's still in the testing phase, so it's disabled by default.

In a future update I plan to have some improvements to the user interface, outlines in interactable objects, and add some cheeky achievements as well.

Update 1.2:

  • Improved platforming area

I plan to overhaul this section, but for the moment I have added some invisible floors to help the player get onto the platform when they feel they should have.

  • Options menu now properly loads the currently active settings

Until now the options menu was showing options by default, not giving the user visibility on what was currently selected.

  • [Esc] key gives the "back" functionality while in menus
  • Enhanced readability of menus
  • Eliminated dialogue overlap

Before it could happen that a dialogue would start before the previous chain was finished. This resulted in multiple voice-lines playing at the same time. Now this no longer happens.

  • Added DLSS support

DLSS at ultra performance should help for those that are having trouble running the game at high resolutions. In its current implementation it's really only noticeable at ultra performance with high resolution and high or epic quality settings.

At the moment I'm studying other options like FSR and NIS for non-RTX GPUs.

  • Set resolution to highest supported resolution on startup

Before I had the default resolution set to 1440p, which may be larger than some users could output, resulting in decreased performance without them tuning it down in the options menu. Now it should work well.
