"Lurking Sins", a UE5 game made for the Summer Slow Jams July 2022: Stealth & Critters

Strange and dangerous creatures have started to appear and terrorize humanity. The Agency's intelligence has managed to pinpoint a possible origin for the plague. Now they need a reckless enough operative to move to the area and look for the truth.

As agent Blake, your mission is to infiltrate the area and search for answers. Or, possibly, more questions.

Mouse & Keyboard controls:

  • [WASD]: movement
  • [Ctrl], [Spacebar]: crouch
  • [Shift]: run (noisy)
  • [LMB], [F]: interact
  • [RMB]: aim downsights
    • [LMB] while aiming: shoot
    • [R] while gun is out: reload (gun remains out for a few seconds after aiming)
  • [E]: throw a stone to distract enemies
  • [Escape], [1], or [P]: pause menu
  • [Tab]: show HUD

IMPORTANT: at the moment gamepad navigation is not implemented in the menus. You can open the menu, but you need to use a mouse once inside.

  • [Left joystick]: movement
  • [Left bumper]: crouch
  • [Right bumper]: run (noisy)
  • [A] / [Cross (X)]: interact
  • [Left trigger]: aim downsights
    • [Right trigger] while aiming: shoot
    • [X] / [Square] while gun is out: reload (gun remains out for a few seconds after aiming)
  • [B] / [O]: throw a stone to distract enemies
  • [Options]: pause menu
  • [D-pad Up]: show HUD

Known issues:

  • The environments are a bit too big, the game is on the easy side.
  • AI could use some improvements.

Thanks a lot for taking the time to play it, and for recording it!

Seeing how other people play your games is extremely valuable, I could see a lot of things that need to be improved (for example, I can see that I didn't communicate well enough how to use the flares).

I see that you found the turn back move :D. I didn't note it in the controls list because it's a bit rough, I'm not too happy on how it transitions at the moment.

Again, thanks a lot!
